On Saturday, May 10, 2008, a "Procession of Healing" was conducted in downtown Knoxville. It consisted of several hundred cars of prolifers and their families, following a hearse. We each had a small black flag with a white cross attached to our car, giving it the look of a funeral procession. It was described by it's organizers as "A memorial service for the over 3,100 lives lost to abortion in our city each year."
We departed the assembly area at the Civic Coliseum Parking Garage and went west to Gay Street, turned north on Gay and proceeded to Depot Street, the official termination point. More information can be found at www.pohnet.org.
